What you will do:
o Test electrical systems and circuits in electrical wiring, equipment or fixtureso Inspect electrical systems, equipment or components to identify hazards, defects or repairo Troubleshoot, program and upgrade Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)o Work with vendors to identify needed parts and recommend to Supervisoro Understand and update instrumentation loop diagrams, E & I drawings, blueprints and schematicso Program AC & DC variable speed driverso Update power distribution system, MCC and switch gearso Install electrical equipmentWhat you need to be successful:
o High School Diploma or GEDo Detailed and accuracy orientedo Understanding of AC and DC control circuitso Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams; have knowledge of 3 phase motor circuits, MCC's, power distribution and lighting circuitso Ability to work outdoors in all temperatures in loud, high volume environments performing physical tasks throughout the shifto Ability to perform the essential functions of the position which includes walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs, bending and lifting-up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, work in elevated work areas and tight close spaceso Pass a basic written, oral and or visual electrical examo Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check, drug screen test and physicalPreferred Skills:
o Proven troubleshooting skills; troubleshooting and tuning of PID loops; Pneumatics and hydraulicso Allen Bradley family of PLC's and Powerflex drives and corresponding softwareo Scanning and Optimization systems within the Lumber Business (Baxley, USNR)o Process Network Communication Systems and Components--Ethernet & Fiber Optico Basic network topography and infrastructureWhat will make you stand out:
